AHS Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Battle Creek, Michigan.
13-week Labor & Delivery travel assignment working 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). This is a true LDRP role where you'll care for patients across the full continuum of obstetrical care, including antepartum, labor & delivery, postpartum, mother/baby, and newborn care.
You'll work in a 15-bed Birth Place featuring 3 triage bays and 2 dedicated C-section ORs, providing comprehensive care while following AWHONN staffing guidelines. Responsibilities include labor support, fetal monitoring, OR circulating, newborn care at delivery, couplet care, lab draws, and newborn hearing screenings.
Nurses with scrub experience are preferred, but circulating experience is required. EPIC charting experience is highly preferred.
Additional Information Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM 13-week contract with the option to extend up to 26 weeks LDRP experience required (OB, L&D, and Mother/Baby) 15-bed BirthPlace with 3 triage rooms & 2 ORs ⚕️ Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM ⭐ Preferred: AWHONN Advanced & Scrub experience ️ EMR: Epic No call required Every other weekend required Travelers float within the BirthPlace and may float to Bronson Methodist Hospital (Kalamazoo) when needed Hospital-provided scrubs ❄️ COVID vaccine not required Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) ⏰ No RTO permitted during the first two weeks; holiday scheduling must remain flexible Michigan RN license required Local travelers accepted (same rate for this position) Supervisor references required with submission This is an excellent opportunity for experienced L&D nurses looking to work in a collaborative community hospital that offers a broad scope of obstetrical practice and the opportunity to utilize a full LDRP skill set.
