GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Opportunity:

CONTRACT - RN - LABOR AND DELIVERY (707) - 7:00P-7:00A

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period required
• No call requirements
• Self-scheduling system working amongst team members
• Required certifications: L&D, ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHON IFM, CPI
• Minimum 3 years experience in High Risk OB required
• Current certification in Advanced EFM/AWHONN Intermediate EFM required
• Patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 based on transition and acuity
• Work with equipment including Alaris Pumps and CADD epidural pumps
• EMR systems: CPN and Meditech
• Perform typical procedures including C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries
• Handle scheduled and non-scheduled emergent C-Hysterectomy and massive transfusion cases
• Experience with high risk OB including massive transfusion preferred
• Experience with PASD (placenta accrete spectrum disorders) preferred
• Sky blue scrubs required for dress code

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit with 12 LDR beds, 5 Ante Partum beds, 4 OBED, and 3 OR rooms. The unit maintains a staff of 72 including nursing, CST, and schedulers with highly engaged and team-oriented professionals. The facility holds Joint Commission accreditation in Women's services, operates as a Level II Trauma center serving obstetrical patients with Level I and Level II injuries, and maintains Maternal Designation Level III and Neonatal Level II status. The organization emphasizes team collaboration with physicians who maintain excellent relationships with staff and management that actively rounds on night shift and weekend teams.
