Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in Labor & Delivery, maternity, or postpartum nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Ohio
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• STABLE certification
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts, every third weekend, and every other holiday
• Strong patient assessment, communication, clinical documentation, and patient education skills

Labor & Delivery Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients during labor and delivery
• Support postpartum patients and newborns throughout the maternity care experience
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and the broader maternity care team
• Administer medications and treatments, complete comprehensive assessments, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and their families
