Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Contract in Vancouver, WA

This on-site travel RN opportunity also includes care in a GYN post-operative area and Level II Special Care Nursery. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Vancouver, WA 98664
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, through January 18, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: Not required
• Scheduling: Block scheduling may be available for review
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Labor & Delivery RN Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience
• Valid Kansas RN license or compact RN license at the time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification preferred
• Current COVID-19 vaccination is required; medical and religious exemptions may be considered
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience with obstetrical triage, external fetal monitoring, and circulating for Cesarean sections
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach to patient care
• Flexibility to float occasionally to Medical-Surgical, ICU, or Emergency Department assignments as needed

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages.
• Care for patients with routine and high-risk conditions, including inductions, Cesarean sections, antepartum and postpartum complications, diabetes, hypertension, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor.
• Perform obstetrical triage and assess patients to determine appropriate care needs.
• Use external fetal monitoring to evaluate maternal and fetal status and promptly recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Circulate for Cesarean sections and support surgical and post-operative care in the GYN unit.
• Provide care for well newborns and infants requiring Level II Special Care Nursery services, including stabilization for transfer to a higher level of care.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN providers, pediatricians, anesthesia professionals, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and other members of the care team.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families while contributing to a teamwork-oriented unit.
