- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280–$2,400
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, every other weekend, block scheduling option
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
- Unit Setting: L&D unit with mother-baby/newborn care and an operating room within the unit
- Additional Notes: Weekend coverage required; holidays and floating as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license hits accepted
- BLS and ACLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a community hospital setting required
- Ability to care for neonatal and adult patient populations
- Strong clinical skills in obstetric, postpartum, and newborn care
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional floating
- Ability to provide care in a tobacco- and fragrance-free environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
- Monitor fetal status and perform assessments using external fetal monitoring equipment
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care as needed
- Support triage, admissions, and ongoing obstetric patient assessments
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, fluids, and blood products per protocol
- Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
- Follow unit standards, safety protocols, and infection prevention practices
