Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage), and triage cases
• Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Uses fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in hand, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AHA only)
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• 2 years of hospital experience in the specialty required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across the full scope of Labor and Delivery services
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
