Job Summary Labor and Delivery Specialty Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for mothers and newborns in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Unit. The position requires rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care across various labor and postpartum settings.
Job Details
Position: Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN with rotation between day, evening, and night shifts, including one night of call and every other weekend.
Schedule: Day shift primarily, with rotation to evenings and nights as needed; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts RN License, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), at least 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, circulating, and newborn care.
Additional Information: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Responsibilities: Providing care for mothers and babies in a 25-bed unit, including L&D, postpartum, neonatal, operating rooms, recovery rooms, and antepartum rooms. The patient-to-clinician ratio varies from 1:2-3 for evaluations and active labor, to 1:3-4 for postpartum.
Certifications Required: Current Massachusetts RN License, BLS, NRP, and EFM every 2 years.
