Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Department Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum period within an acute care setting. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
Location Requirements: Must be licensed to submit.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, titrating drips, assisting with triage, and managing postpartum care.
The unit has OB/Neonatologist available 24/7, with in-house anesthesia. Equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, and Phillips OBIX monitors are used.
The unit maintains a flexible staffing model with self-scheduling and weekend rotation requirements.
Floating between labor, delivery, postpartum, and triage units may be needed based on clinical needs.
