Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty nurse position is located in Minnesota. This role involves providing care in an acute care setting with a focus on postpartum, nursery, labor, and delivery. The position requires rotating shifts, including day and night hours, with a typical schedule of 36 hours per week, and entails floating to medical-surgical units when necessary. The nurse will support a unit with four beds, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: PERHAM, Minnesota
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA), Basic Life Support (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program; 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or Postpartum/Nursery; willingness to wait for license submission
• Preferred Qualifications: Floating to Med-Surg units, scrub color preference by nurse
• Shift Notes: 36 hours a week, 12-hour day/night rotating shifts, every third weekend, with floating to Med Surg in case of OB unit closure
• Additional Information: The unit comprises four beds with one-to-one labor care and three-to-one couplet care for postpartum/nursery; electronic charting is conducted via EPIC, with Pyxis and OBIX systems in use. The facility may cancel up to 12 hours in advance every 13 weeks.
