Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position located in a high-risk labor and delivery unit. The role involves caring for obstetrical patients including high-risk pregnancies, facilitating deliveries, supporting postpartum care, and managing neonatal needs. The assignment offers flexible scheduling options with the potential to work 36 or 48 hours per week, primarily during night shifts.

Required Qualifications: Valid Kansas (KS) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission). Certification in Advanced Womens Health Nurse (AWHONN) Advanced or Intermediate, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery or related obstetrics setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in charge nursing, charting system proficiency in Epic, community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, and previous travel experience.
Additional Information: The role includes responsibilities such as assisting with high-risk deliveries, managing postpartum care, performing sterile procedures, neonatal assessments, and supporting breastfeeding and family education. Travelers may be expected to float to similar units to meet facility needs, with brief orientation provided on-site. Modules are non-billable, completed during orientation, and recorded via transcripts.
