Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Nurse Job in Nampa, Idaho

This 13-week night shift L&D Registered Nurse assignment offers the chance to provide expert women’s services care in a fast-paced acute care setting while supporting mothers, babies, and families through every stage of delivery and postpartum recovery.

Travel Nurse Job Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400 - $2,530
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Weekends as needed; first to float
• Charting System: EPIC
• Care Setting: Acute Labor & Delivery / Women’s Services
• Floating: May float to nearby Treasure Valley locations within the same specialty or as a sitter

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Current RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Mother-Baby experience preferred
• Experience with magnesium administration and titratable drips required
• Ability to attend deliveries, circulate C-sections, recover patients, and provide postpartum couplet care
• Strong triage experience and ability to complete 1-hour newborn care
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
• Charge nurse experience preferred, but not required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, diverse women’s services environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and triage patients
• Monitor labor progress and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, recovery, and newborn transition care
• Administer and titrate medications and drips per protocol, including Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin as needed
• Deliver high-quality postpartum couplet care and support family-centered education
• Collaborate closely with OB, anesthesia, and neonatal support teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit standards and staffing expectations
• Adapt to floating assignments and provide reliable support across nearby sites when needed
