First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) in Spokane, Washington. Operating within a high-volume 629-bed Level II Trauma regional teaching medical center delivering ~3,600 births annually across a 27-bed perinatal unit, this position offers a structured 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7pm - 7am). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $2,708.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,484.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $34.00/hr (36 regular hours)
• Overtime Rate: $51.00/hr
• (Facility also pre-approves 48-hour configurations for travelers looking to maximize weekly income)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly (48-hour approval available).
• Weekend Requirements: Rotational weekend shifts as scheduled.
• On-Call Requirements:NO MANDATORY ON-CALL REQUIRED! Enjoy your off-duty time free from standby calls.
• Clinical Scope & Ratios: Strict 1:2 laboring and 1:3 antepartum ratios. Unit manages high-risk maternal-fetal medicine (MFM), diabetic ketoacidosis/GDM, pre-eclampsia, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, insulin/magnesium sulfate drips, versions, cerclages, and emergency C-section circulating/recovery (scrubbing is a plus).
• Floating Requirements: Travelers float to Mother/Baby (couplet care) or functionally elsewhere within scope as needed.
• EMR Charting System: Epic EMR.
• Parking & Dress Code: Free on-site parking; any color scrubs permitted.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care Labor & Delivery RN experience is required (must be able to function independently). First-time travelers accepted!
• Licensure: Active Washington RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License must be in hand at submission.
• Certifications Required: * AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Rehire Eligibility: Former permanent employees of any non-Swedish Providence facility are eligible to return after a 3-month separation.
