Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in the healthcare industry. This position involves caring for high-risk labor and antepartum patients, including those with epidurals, insulin drips, IV mag, and preterm labor. The role also encompasses circulating in the operating room and assisting with deliveries, with opportunities to float to other Women's and Children's units such as NICU, pediatrics, and postpartum.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure (including non-Oregon licensure options), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric cases, familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic, and certifications in labor management.
• Additional Information: Employees will attend 2 days of nursing orientation, 2 days of Epic training, and 1 week of unit-specific orientation, with additional site-specific training as needed. The unit follows AWHONN standards for patient assignments, typically staffing one labor patient per nurse and 2-3 antepartum patients. The team includes OB Scrub Techs, a support nurse team, and an OB hospitalist available 24/7. Equipment utilized includes electronic fetal monitoring and other obstetric tools.
• Submission Requirements: License to submit and willingness to wait for license processing.
