Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Frisco, Colorado.

Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position is located in the Frisco area. This role involves providing specialized care on a maternity unit that manages approximately 35 deliveries per month. The focus is on low-risk, late pregnancy patients following AWHONN guidelines, with responsibilities including monitoring, delivering, and postpartum care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with 3 call shifts every 6 weeks, and floating between Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother/Baby units, with occasional assistance to other units as needed. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications: Must hold BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE Certification.
  • Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Additional Information:
    • The charge nurse takes assigned shifts.
    • Staffing includes one OB technician per shift.
    • No in-house Neonatologist; CPAP and vents are available for newborns as needed, though vents are uncommon.
    • RNs are required to read their own telemonitor strips on Phillips monitors with OBIX EFM system.
    • Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed.
    • The healthcare provider requires license submission and will provide blue scrubs.
    • Cancellation policies permit up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment.
    • The facility supports a trauma level care setting in an acute care environment.
