Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery, maternity nursing, or a related clinical specialty
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license or Multi-State Compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Ability to work night shifts and perform effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of a licensed physician
• Use the nursing process to individualize care for patients and families throughout the labor and delivery experience
• Collaborate with physicians, peers, and other members of the healthcare team
• Direct nursing support staff in delivering safe, effective patient care
• Provide attentive, compassionate Labor & Delivery nursing care in a busy maternity setting
• Follow established nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Support a positive patient experience in a dynamic Philadelphia healthcare environment
