Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse located in a high-volume, high-acuity obstetrics unit within a level II trauma facility. This position involves leadership responsibilities, including serving as Charge Nurse, with regular work in this capacity. The role requires an AK RN license in hand for auto-offer, with an assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks, starting as soon as possible.
Job Details
Qualifications: AK RN license in hand, BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP certifications; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; familiarity with Epic charting system required; experience in obstetrics/delivery preferred or willingness to train as charge; must have charge nurse experience or aptitude for training.
Schedule: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients, including high-risk antepartum, deliveries, inductions, triage, and postpartum care. Serve in leadership capacity as a Charge Nurse, oversee clinical team, assist with procedures such as cesarean sections, and support high-volume delivery demands.
Additional Information: Assignments are for an acute hospital in a magnet-recognized, level II trauma center with approximately 17 beds dedicated to obstetric care. Candidate must be willing to work 2 major holidays and float within scope if needed. Pending license accepted but must have license in hand for auto-offer; must work at least one block schedule and be at least 50 miles away from the facility.
Submission Requirements: Include RTO requests, 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, and copies of certifications.
