Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Must have Level III Perinatal Care experience with a background in providing care for high-risk mothers and newborns - no exceptions
• Care for high-risk mothers and newborns including patients with placenta accreta, pre-eclampsia, and massive transfusion needs
• Perform and support procedures including tubal ligation, cerclage, hysterectomies, and C-section deliveries as secondary nurse
• Circulate in vaginal deliveries, provide surgical recovery care, and manage post-partum and L&D recoveries
• Skills required include fetal monitoring, maternal assessments and interventions, cervical exams for labor progression, OB triage, and assisting with circulating C-sections
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing guidelines: 1:1-2 for active labor and 1:3 for antepartum
• Unit averages 280 deliveries per month
• No set schedule; must be available to work 7 days a week and will be plugged into the schedule where needed
• Every other holiday required based on start date
• No on-call responsibilities; low census call-back may occur
• Travelers will float first to postpartum and Women's Care Center
• Charting and equipment includes EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, fetal monitoring, and epidural pumps
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Scrubs provided

Facility:
This facility is a 228-bed teaching hospital operating as a Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Level III Perinatal Center, as well as an Accreta Center of Excellence and an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Labor and Delivery unit consists of 20 beds and is supported around the clock by OBGYN providers, certified nurse midwives, OB anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and a house supervisor. The unit also benefits from a Clinical Resource Nurse, charge nurse oversight, and a collaborative team of OBGYN residents, family practice physicians, and midwives given its teaching hospital status.
