- Required Qualifications: California RN license, CPR certification, AWHONN Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certification or current registration, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least three years of recent RN experience in nursing roles, and at least two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area.
- Preferred Qualifications: EFM certification (preferred).
- Additional Information: The RN will deliver individualized, age-specific care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for labor and delivery patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and implementing care plans, patient education, advocacy, interdisciplinary communication, and delegation within scope of practice. The role emphasizes cultural competence, patient advocacy, and documentation accuracy.
