Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California – a beautiful mountain community situated nearly 6,200 feet above sea level on the south shore of Lake Tahoe

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM start time, 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights:

• 8-bed perinatal unit with approximately 300 births annually in a community hospital and Level III Trauma Center
• Comprehensive perinatal nursing role including triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery care
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twin pregnancies; no deliveries before 35 weeks
• Autonomous practice environment with RNs providing independent care during nights and weekends
• Opportunity to develop skills in lactation support, newborn resuscitation, and outpatient fetal stress testing
• 13-week travel assignment (89 days) with potential for extension

Requirements:

• Current California Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 5+ years preferred
• Current certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN or NCC accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Strong newborn resuscitation experience and ability to independently manage deliveries and cesarean section recovery
• Completion of required health screenings, immunizations, and background checks
• Awareness that an oral swab for THC metabolites will be conducted on day one
