Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse located in Glendale, California. This acute care position involves providing specialized inpatient care in a busy labor and delivery department. The role requires dedicated support for high-risk pregnancies, postpartum care, and neonatal needs within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts at 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM, with every other week shifts and first to float.
Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) through the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, license to submit, and ability to work in the specified geographic location.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with obstetric electronic fetal monitoring systems (Obix) and Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system; C-section experience across scrub, recovery, and circulation roles.
Additional Information: The unit handles deliveries down to 23 weeks gestation, including high-risk cases such as antepartum complications and hypertensive disorders. Close collaboration with perinatology support is available. The unit's biggest need is Labor and Delivery services.
Holidays: Coverage required on Christmas and New Year's for both major staff and technical support.
