Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: South Lake Tahoe, California – a beautiful mountain community at nearly 6,200 feet elevation

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week, 89-day assignment through November 7, 2026

Highlights:

• Work in a community hospital and Level III Trauma Center serving both residents and visitors to the Lake Tahoe region
• 8-bed unit with approximately 300 births per year; no deliveries before 35 weeks gestation
• Comprehensive perinatal care including pre-labor/triage, delivery, post-partum, and nursery care
• Care for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twins
• Autonomous practice environment with RNs providing independent care during nights and weekends
• Opportunity to work with a collaborative team of 3 RNs always staffed on the unit

Requirements:

• Current California RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5+ years preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (NCC or AWHONN accepted)
• STABLE certification preferred
• Significant neonatal resuscitation experience required
• Ability to independently provide care and attend cesarean sections
• Strong assessment skills and ability to interpret fetal heart tracings
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation
• Completion of drug screening (9-panel, THC oral swab performed on first day)
• All standard healthcare compliance requirements including immunizations, background check, and competency validation
