Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract + possible extensions

Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Schedule: 3 days/week

Expected Hours: 36 hours per week

Local candidates accepted as well, pay for locals: $65 - $70/hr

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic Women's Services team at a leading acute care hospital in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have recent Labor & Delivery experience and be comfortable managing patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
Assist physicians and healthcare providers during labor, delivery, and obstetrical emergencies.
Perform patient assessments and recognize changes in patient conditions.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Float to other units within the scope of practice when required.

Required Qualifications:

Active Colorado or compact state RN license.
1+ year of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN.
BLS (AHA) certification.
NRP certification
