Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor: Required
At least two years recent experience in the field: Required
Responsibilities
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinates care with other disciplines, employing critical thinking and independent judgment.
Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues, developing and implementing care plans.
Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing environment.
Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Provides learning opportunities for patients and team members.
