PAY:

Traveler Pay: $3077 weekly ($46/hr. on w2 + $1421 Stipend) for 36 hours.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Weekly - 36 hours

L&D / Mother-Baby RN – Requirements

  • BILH coversheet required at submission.
  • NH RN license or Compact State RN license required.
  • BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, and NRP required.
  • C-EFM strongly preferred.
  • Epic experience required.
  • Minimum experience required in:
    • Labor & Delivery (L&D)
    • Postpartum / Mother-Baby
    • Pediatrics
  • Circulating experience required.
  • Scrub experience is not required but is a plus.

Schedule

  • 12-hour rotating shifts, primarily nights, with the possibility of rotating to days based on unit needs.
  • Every 3rd weekend required.
  • Scheduling is completed in 6-week blocks; no self-scheduling.
  • Call requirements depend on unit needs and patient census.

Unit Information

  • 100-bed community hospital
  • Level II Maternity Unit / Level I Nursery
  • Approximately 600 deliveries annually
  • 19-bed L&D unit
  • Postpartum/Mother-Baby and Pediatric units
  • Deliveries for 35 weeks gestation and above
  • OR located on the unit for C-sections
  • Staffing is guided by AWHONN ratios.
  • Core staffing: approximately 6 nurses on days and 5 nurses on nights.

Patient Population & Clinical Skills

  • Maternal-child and newborn patients
  • Pediatric patients
  • Occasionally age-appropriate Med-Surg patients (female, under 65)
  • Experience with:
    • Phillips fetal monitoring
    • IV pumps
    • Plum 360 pumps
    • Epidural pumps
    • PCA pumps
    • Glucometers
    • Omnicell
    • IV insertion
    • RN bedside ultrasound for fetal presentation
    • Post-delivery epidural catheter removal
    • Phlebotomy

Orientation & Dress Code

  • 2 days of orientation
  • Navy blue scrubs provided by the unit
  • No gel or artificial/fake nails

Additional Requirements

  • No local candidates.
  • Candidates who previously worked for BILH must have been separated from the organization for at least 6 months to be eligible.
