Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This position involves providing specialized maternity care in a diverse hospital setting, supporting high-risk deliveries, obstetric surgeries, and postpartum care. The role requires a dedicated professional with experience in labor and delivery, capable of handling multiple responsibilities including attending high-risk deliveries and managing various procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in Labor and Delivery, valid compact state license, Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS, preferred).
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Epic electronic charting system, experience in high-volume or teaching hospital settings.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, including Post-Partum and possibly Labor & Delivery at the designated facility.
- Additional Information:
- Responsibilities include attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, OB-GYN surgeries, postpartum and antepartum care, and specialized procedures such as blood/blood products administration, cardioversion, epidural pumps, and wound vac management.
- Experience with invasive equipment such as PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and handling medications like insulin, magnesium sulfate, and heparin.
- Candidate must be flexible to work night shifts and the required schedule, including holiday coverage as specified.
