Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing specialized obstetric and neonatal care within a busy Labor and Delivery Department. The role requires clinical expertise in managing maternity patients and newborns, with a focus on safe and effective patient care during childbirth and postpartum periods.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS and ACLS, Epic experience required, minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, previous charge experience preferred, and at least 4 years of patient ratio experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience and trauma level II experience are advantageous.
- Call Requirements: Required for 3 shifts every 6 weeks.
- Holidays: As needed.
- Floating: As needed.
- Additional Information: May be required to care for COVID-19 patients. Must notify prior to submission about tobacco and fragrance sensitivities. Candidates should be licensed in Pennsylvania, with no licensure hits accepted, and must meet specific Mammography Tech or other specialized certifications if applicable.
- Unit Details:
- Staffing includes interdisciplinary support teams such as IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.
- Patient age groups include neonates and adults with a daily census of approximately eight patients.
- The unit features 12 rooms and 14 beds with operating room access within the unit.
- Compliance & Submittal Notes:
- RTO (Requested Time Off) should be minimized to 7 days maximum.
- Must complete any required modules pre-start, typically taking 5-6 hours.
- EPIC charting experience is heavily preferred.
- Candidates should be prepared to pass EKG testing within 72 hours of signing the contract, where applicable.
