Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring active CA RN licensure and ACLS/NRP certification.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 36-48 hours per week
• Delivers coordinated nursing care to patients in labor and delivery
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels
• Coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required, 3 months recent experience
• No prior license hits accepted

Additional Information

• Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans
• Implements care plans, coordinates delivery, and evaluates patient outcomes
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, humane care
• Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning
• Delegates duties appropriately among healthcare team members
• No radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
