Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,731 per week in Smyrna, TN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Drive to provide the highest quality of care to laboring patients. Ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient preferences. Description: Number of Beds: 9 Labor & Delivery, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and 3 bed OBED. Patient Ratios: 1-2. Unit staffing includes unit secretary and scrub tech, dedicated CRNA and midwife in-house 24/7, and Client on call. Type of Equipment: Documentation system includes CPN and Meditech. Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per month. Floating Policy: Can float to mother-baby or outside department to task. Patient Experience Requirements: Remain above 75%. Advanced skills preferred: Spinning babies and STABLE. Procedures performed on unit: Circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, pp hemorrhage, JADA system, and nitrous oxide. Dress Code: Hot pink and black; may wear black on the bottom, but hot pink on top is preferable. Unit Guidelines and Policies: Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided. Awards and Recognition: Unit of Distinction 2021. TIPQC Pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth. Additional Information: Utilizes a laborist team model with 24/7 midwives and dedicated CRNA and OB on call. Aims to personalize each birth experience to meet patients' desires and needs. Couplet care is performed in the postpartum unit to allow newborns to remain at the bedside and promote breastfeeding, with donor milk availability when needed. 8 bed Level 2 NICU with NNP dedicated to the unit 24/7, available to attend all high-risk deliveries as needed.
