Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 4 Years Required License: California RN License Required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate or Higher, EFM, ACLS Must-Have: Strong leadership skills, ability to remain calm during obstetrical emergencies, charge nurse experience. Description: This position requires 4 or more years of relevant experience. A resume is required for submission. The unit has a total of 16 beds with established patient ratios. Staff includes a charge nurse, resource nurses, obstetrical technicians, and RNs for floor assignments. The equipment used includes CPN GE monitors and Novii (Monica S). The documentation systems in use are CPN for nursing and Meditech for order entry. Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts per week, with no more than six consecutive shifts. Charge RNs will only have charge RN shifts. Patient experience requirements include rounding when concerns are escalated. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills and be able to manage obstetrical emergencies effectively. Advanced skills in electronic fetal monitoring and advanced cardiac life support are required. Candidates with experience in healthcare are appreciated but not mandatory. Dress code requires hospital-issue scrubs. Attachments related to unit-specific policies and guidelines are requested.
