Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Provide care to mothers in labor, manage inductions, and assist in C-sections
Facilitate couplet care and execute newborn assessments until stable
Conduct fetal monitoring and care for obstetric emergencies like shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
Perform and assist with intra-uterine monitoring and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
Engage in daily and safety rounding on all patients
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Valid BLS and NRP certifications
Fetal Monitoring training
Labor and delivery experience including labor and recovery of mothers and newborn transition
Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred
