Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,876 per week in McAllen, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 6 months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: NRP, BLS, EFM Must-Have: - RN Labor and Delivery experience Description: The unit has 14 beds in Labor and Delivery and 9 Antepartum beds. There are 33 staff members, including RNs and CSTs. Core day shift staff includes 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, and 1 AP Nurse. Core night shift staff comprises 1 CNC, 3 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, and 1 AP Nurse. Patient ratios are 1:1 in Labor and Delivery final stage or C-section and 1:4 for Antepartum patients. Equipment utilized includes an operating room, fetal heart monitors, and ultrasound devices. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include managing laboring patients and assisting in operating room procedures for C-sections. The ideal candidate should be assertive yet friendly and possess strong critical thinking skills. Weekends and on-call duties will rotate as needed.
