Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,912 per week in Lewisville, TX

Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Unit information includes a total of 18 beds with a staff of 54. The night shift typically includes 1 charge nurse and 8-10 registered nurses, along with 1-2 obstetric technicians. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1 for Pitocin, C-section delivery, and recovery. Antepartum patients are cared for with a ratio of 2-3. AWHONN guidelines are followed whenever possible. Common equipment includes GE fetal monitoring systems and electronic medical records (CPN and Meditech). An on-call requirement of 1-2 shifts is expected. Floating to other areas may be required based on patient care needs, but is not common practice. Typical procedures performed on the unit include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, triage, and iron infusions.
