Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,920 per week in Tomball, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM Must-Have: Strong independent labor and delivery skills, including cervical checks, OR circulator experience, IV start, and medication management for oxytocin and magnesium. Labor Management experience is essential. Description: The unit consists of 11 beds with a dedicated staff. There are 34 staff members assigned to the unit. During the day shift, the staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 1 surgical tech, and 4 RNs. The night shift has 1 charge nurse, 1 surgical tech, and 4 RNs. Patient ratios follow established standards. The unit is equipped with standard fetal monitoring systems, including GE and wireless monitoring options. Baxter IV pumps are used for medication administration. Electronic medical records are managed through specific software. Typical procedures performed in the unit include labor management, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections. Pre-operative and post-anesthesia care unit procedures are also conducted. The ideal candidate should exhibit an open and friendly personality. They must be able to work independently while fostering a team spirit. Rotating weekends are part of the scheduling, and being on call is not required.
