Previous charge experience preferred
Experience with patient ratios of 2:1
Experience with Meditech charting system preferred
Travel experience required
Description:
The registered nurse will be responsible for all aspects of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
The role includes taking care of nursery and postpartum patients.
The nurse will work during weekend nights, Friday to Sunday from 19:00 to 07:00.
Duties include assisting with high-risk deliveries and performing sterile vaginal exams.
Nurses will provide support for breastfeeding and administer certain medications.
Skills in the administration of blood products and IV therapy are essential.
The nurse will be responsible for monitoring fetal heart rates and conducting non-stress tests.
Care for neonates, infants, and adults is expected.
Daily census for the unit is approximately three patients.
The nursing staff participate in interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and pharmacy services.
