Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,944 per week in Reston, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a labor and delivery unit License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate Must-Have: Experience in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit; experience in scrub role and circulating in the operating room is helpful. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit. The unit features 15 labor delivery rooms, 3 OB triage rooms, 3 operating rooms, 4 bay post-anesthesia care unit, and 4 antepartum rooms. It is a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The documentation system is Meditech and CPN. Scheduling requirements include shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM. Floating within women's and children's service line is expected. Patient experience includes labor and delivery, circulating for C-sections, and managing IV drips such as magnesium for high-acuity patients. Advanced skills required include experience with high-acuity labor and delivery units and scrub role experience. Procedures performed on the unit include C-sections, epidurals, spinals, cerclage, and version. The dress code consists of hospital-supplied scrubs.
