General information about the unit includes:
- Number of beds: 9 Labor, Delivery, Recovery; 8 Post-Partum/Gynecology; 2 Operating Room suites; 23 well newborn nursery.
- Number of staff: 50+
- Type of staff includes Director, Manager, Couplet nurses, Birth response nurse, Labor and Delivery nurses, Scrub Tech.
- Night Shift includes Clinical coordinator or charge nurse, Birth response, couplet, Labor and Delivery nurses, Scrub Tech.
- Patient ratios are 3 couplets to 1 nurse; Labor and Delivery is 1:1 during active labor, Pitocin, or epidural.
- Equipment includes Corometrics, EMR Centricity Perinatal, and Meditech.
- Typical procedures performed include labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum and newborn care, OBED triage, inductions, midwifery care.
- The best personality fit is energetic and self-directed.
- Dress code: Scrubs provided.
- Weekend shifts are 4 per month, with days on Saturday and Sunday, and nights on Friday and Saturday.
- No call requirement for travel staff, but there may be opportunities for extra shifts.
