Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,023 per week in Seneca, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN state licensed Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience - Special procedures experience in LDRP with nursery responsibilities Description: This position requires a registered nurse in the Labor and Delivery specialty. Shift hours are from 19:00 to 07:30. Call and float are required. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. The RN will be responsible for LDRP with nursery responsibilities. This is a Baby Friendly Facility. Registered nurses are cross-trained to labor and delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage. The unit also cares for GYN surgery patients. RNs perform their own hearing screenings. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1 with labor patients, 1:2 with cytotec inductions, 1:1 with magnesium patients, and 1:3 with couplet care. If a baby requires care in the sick nursery, the RN will maintain a 1:1 ratio. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in community hospital settings is also preferred. Agency staff will be required to float to other units as needed. Staff will float only to areas where they have documented competencies. The unit details include interdisciplinary support from various services. The unit cares for neonates and adults with a daily census of approximately 5. Additional equipment utilized includes Panda Warmers and Giraffe incubators. Modules are billable and required to be completed pre-start by all nursing staff. Travel certification requires compliance with specified policies regarding consecutive contracts.
