Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (LDRP)
Job Summary
Join a dedicated Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) team in Albany, Oregon. This role provides comprehensive, family-centered care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases, as well as specialized newborn care.
The LDRP unit is committed to a medically safe environment, extending its services to include GYN surgical care. For this specific location, the team also provides pediatric care, ensuring a broad scope of practice and continuous learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.
- Deliver specialized care for newborns.
- Assist with and provide care for GYN surgical patients.
- Provide pediatric care as needed within the unit's scope.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a family-centered approach to care, supporting patients and their families throughout their stay.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- STABLE Program certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care.
- Experience with GYN surgical patient care.
- Ability to provide pediatric care.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
