General Information Tell us about the unit(s): - Number of Beds – 10 Labor Beds and 13 postpartum beds and 2 ORs
- Number of Staff – growing rapidly --- usually staff with 4-5 Labor RNs and 2 Postpartum RNs and OB scrub tech. Also have Lactation consultants. Also have Level 2 NICU with 2 RNs 24/7. 24/7 in house OB Hospitalist and 24/7 in house Neonatology provider.
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift – 4-5 labor RNs/shift; 2 postpartum RNs/shift; scheduler/birth registrar M-F
- Night Shift – same
- Patient Ratios – varied, depending stages of labor
- Type of equipment – Labor tubs for midwifery patients; Fetal monitoring system
- EMR – Meditech and CPN
Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Minimum of 2 yrs Labor experience
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

- C-sections

- OB ED (triage)

Weekends and On call (if any): - One to two on-call shifts per month preferred
