Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,102 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred License: Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start) Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP (pending certifications accepted) Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred, patient ratio experience required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work a 12-hour day shift, three times per week. New travelers are welcomed with this opportunity. The role requires the ability to assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries. The nurse will circulate for C-sections and recover C-section patients. Experience with antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensives is essential. The patient ratio will be up to 2 patients per nurse during the day. The nurse will utilize external fetal monitoring and maintain central lines. Weekend shifts are required, ranging from 4-6 shifts every 6 weeks. The unit typically has a monthly delivery rate of 100-200 births. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various services including respiratory and social services. The nurse will be expected to float to similar units as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit upon arrival. All travelers will need to comply with specified health and safety protocols.
