4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks

Description:
The role is focused on Labor and Delivery nursing.
Nurses will assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries.
Circulating for C-sections is required.
Experience with monitoring external fetal heart rates is necessary.
The nurse will maintain central lines and manage insulin drips.
Work will involve patient triage in obstetric situations.
Isolation precautions and PPE usage are mandatory.
The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and social services.
Nurses should have experience in anticoagulation therapy and antihypertensives.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1 for both days and nights.
The unit handles an average of 100-200 facility births per month.
Nurses should be able to perform sterile vaginal exams and assist in recovery from C-sections.
A brief orientation will be provided to travelers before starting.
