TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Topeka, Kansas, 66606!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP required Must-Have: 2 years of experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Description: Postpartum registered nurse position available for nights. Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications must be in hand at the time of submission. Must be available for 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period or every third weekend. Charge experience is preferred. Experience with charting systems such as Epic is a plus. Care duties include administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, and anticoagulation therapy. Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care, including C-sections and managing complications. Support breastfeeding and provide education on car seat usage. Conduct newborn assessments and manage common neonatal conditions. Provide discharge teaching to parents and assess for signs of complications. Engage in triage of obstetrical patients and use of external fetal monitoring. Travelers will float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements. Expected to receive brief orientation to the new unit. Additional skills include IV management, pain assessment, and wound care. Position involves caring for a diverse patient population including neonates and adults. Candidates must be able to handle high-risk obstetric situations and provide comprehensive patient care.
