Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,130 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: Seasonal - Contract - RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Experience with high-risk maternal patients, circulating operating room, and triage Must-Have: - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - Experience with high-risk maternal patients - Circulating operating room and triage Description: Level 4 designated maternal center caring for complex patients at any gestation. 22 beds available, including 16 labor beds. Approximate staff of 100, including RNs and support staff. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, a minimum of 2 surgical techs, and 1 unit clerk, staffing to patient census. Typically 10 staff during the week and 7 during weekends. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, a minimum of 2 surgical techs, and 1 unit clerk, staffing to patient census. Typically 9 staff during the week and 7 during weekends. Patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:1. Equipment used includes EMR systems. Permanent positions available for night and weekend plans. Multi-tasker with the ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment required. Team-oriented unit, and being a team player is essential. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs. Standardized order sets are available on the unit for review. Recognized as a leading maternity hospital and consistently receives high grades for performance. Undergoing renovations to update rooms on the floor. Long-term leadership with a supportive team. Management can assist in patient care if census requires.
