Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,155 per week in Brooklyn, MD

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred (2 years will be accepted with strong experience) License: Must hold current applicable license in hand prior to submission Certifications: C-EFM BLS NRP STABLE ACLS preferred Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Cerner charting system experience preferred Scrub experience preferred Mother-Baby experience preferred Description: The role involves providing nursing care in the Labor and Delivery specialty. The nurse will assist with high-risk deliveries and support new mothers and newborns. Responsibilities include labor assessments, fetal heart monitoring, and implementation of care plans. Candidates should have experience with epidural anesthesia administration and managing various maternal conditions. The role requires the administration of medications, including Pitocin, and monitoring for postpartum hemorrhage. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Staff may float to Mother-Baby if qualified and have the capability to scrub for cesarean sections as needed. Call is required with two shifts in a six-week schedule. Every other weekend coverage is mandatory.
