Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,197 per week in Knoxville, TN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP, NIHSS (can obtain after offer) Must-Have: 2 years current experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The nurse will float to labor and delivery as required. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:3-4 in the Mother-Baby and Postpartum unit. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend or two weekends per month. On-call responsibilities include 36 hours every six weeks. Travelers requesting time off during specific holidays will not be accommodated. Candidates must have experience with Cerner or similar charting systems. Essential skills include administration of blood products, postpartum care, and breastfeeding education. The nurse will be responsible for assisting with newborn admissions and performing various assessments. The daily census is approximately 60 patients, including neonates, infants, and adults. Interdisciplinary support includes pharmacy, social services, and unit secretarial assistance. All certifications and licenses must be up to date and not expire within 45 days of the start date. The candidate's permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility. Travel experience is required for this position. Floating will be in compliance with current policies and standards.
