At least 2 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics. Nurses must have at least 3 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics. Current certification in Advanced EFM/AWHONN Intermediate EFM. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work night shifts. The shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This is a contract role. The unit consists of 12 labor delivery rooms, 5 antepartum beds, 4 obstetrics emergency department rooms, and 3 operating rooms. There are 72 staff members including nursing, certified surgical technicians, and schedulers. Patient ratios are 1:2 and 1:1, based on transition and acuity. Common equipment includes Alaris Pumps and CADD epidural pumps. Join a team that is highly engaged and motivated. Management engages frequently with staff, including night shifts and weekends. The staff has a good mix of tenure, with both experienced and newer nurses. A positive outlook and intentional interactions are essential. Scheduling is self-managed among team members. The unit performs various procedures including C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, and scheduled or emergent procedures. The unit is recognized and accredited for its excellence in women's health services. This position does not require call. Four weekend shifts per scheduling period are expected.
