Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,272 per week in Salem, VA

# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Nurse – Virginia**Start Date:** September 2026 **Location:** Salem, Virginia **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; day shifts include Saturday/Sunday; night shifts include Friday/Saturday; no call requirement for travel staff; additional shifts may be available**Highlights:**

• Work in a comprehensive Maternity Care Center with 9 LDR rooms, 8 postpartum/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and a 23-bed wellborn nursery
• Patient ratios maintained at 3 couplets per nurse; Labor & Delivery ratios 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural patients
• EMR system: Centricity Perinatal and Meditech; equipment includes Corometrics monitoring
• Collaborative team of 50+ staff including couplet nurses, birth response nurses, L&D nurses, and scrub techs
• Diverse case mix including labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum and newborn care, OB/ED triage, inductions, and midwife deliveries
• Scrubs provided; no floating outside the unit

**Requirements:**

• Current OB nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications mandatory
• Cesarean section experience (circulator, first assist, or scrub) preferred
• Current RN license or eligibility for Virginia licensure
