Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery- Provide care to mothers in labor, manage inductions, and assist in C-sections
- Facilitate couplet care and execute newborn assessments until stable
- Conduct fetal monitoring and care for obstetric emergencies like shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
- Perform and assist with intra-uterine monitoring and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
- Engage in daily and safety rounding on all patients
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery- Valid BLS and NRP certifications
- Fetal Monitoring training
- Labor and delivery experience including labor and recovery of mothers and newborn transition
- Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred
