Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Manage labor and delivery, including recovery of the mother and transitioning of the newborn
• Conduct assessments of mothers and newborns
• Respond to OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Perform fetal monitoring and manage inductions with Pitocin and Cervidil
• Participate in procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, and assisted deliveries
• Engage in daily safety rounding for patient experience

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Active RN license
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Fetal Monitoring training
• Experience in labor and delivery, with specific procedures and emergency management
