Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery
Provide comprehensive care in labor and delivery, recovery, and immediate newborn care
Conduct PACU for c-section patients with proficiency in BLS and NRP
Engage in golden hour baby care ensuring optimal newborn transition
Circulate during c-sections and scrub as needed
Manage AWHONN standards for patient care and experience, adhering to bedside shift reporting
Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery
Active TX RN License
BLS and NRP certifications
2+ years of hospital specialty experience in labor and delivery
Experience with labor and delivery procedures, including immediate newborn care and c-section recovery
Meditech experience preferred
